Untracked Movements

How to create movements from non-specific locations.

Updated over a month ago

IWTS caters for circumstances where the origin of a material may be unknown and cannot be linked to the specific organisation or individual who generated it, the following steps will walkthrough how to create such a movement in IWTS.

1 - From the homescreen of IWTS select Movements

2 - Now select Create New Movement

3 - Select the checkbox labelled Select if this is an untracked movement - this will grey out the Pick up Location search field above.

4 - Now enter the Drop Off Location by searching for the address, location name, or organisation name, and selecting from the available options that appear.

Tip - If the drop off location does not appear, it may be missing from the system, you can add a new location by selecting the link underneath the search field, see these articles for assistance.

5 - Search for the material by NEPM code or name and select from the available options that appear. Then click Continue

6 - In the following movement summary screen select the Add Details button next to step one. Proceed to complete all of the required information in these forms, noting that not all fields in these forms need to be completed in order to progress.

Note - For movements that are related to an illegal dumping incidient, there is a checkbox which can be selected to indicate this during step one.

7 - Once the first step has been completed the following step's Submit (or Add Details) button will become active and clickable. Complete the subsequent step(s) to finalise and complete the movement.
