Signing in to KPMG Origins for the first time

Accept your invite and log in for the first time

Updated over 5 months ago

Note: This guide is intended for people that have already registered with Origins, but haven't yet logged in for the first time. To get help with registering see our help guides on registrations for organisations and private individuals here:

There are currently 2 versions of KPMG Origins:

Both require an individual sign up via the steps below.

  1. Open the Origins invitation email, subject line: Your invite to KPMG Origins. Click on 'Accept & Sign Up'

Note: If signing up for the Sandbox Learning Environment the email invite says, 'on KPMG Origins Sandbox'. Each environment has its own invite email.

Can't find your invite email?

1 - Check the spam/junk folder of your emails.

2 - Ask a colleague in your organisation who has logged in to Origins to add you into the account, or if they don't have the right permissions then ask them to identify an admin user who can add you.

3 - If step 1 & 2 didn't work you may not have an account and you will need to register your organisation for Origins.

Received an invite email but it has expired?

You can ask a colleague with admin access to resend an invite email to you, alternatively contact [email protected] for assistance.

2. Origins page loads, with your name and email address inputted.

Create your password and reconfirm.

Create a password containing 8-16 characters and contain 3 out of 4 of the following:

  • Lowercase characters

  • Uppercase characters

  • Digits (0-9)

  • At least one special character

3. Click 'Set Password'.

4. Enter in your registered email address and click 'Continue'.

5. Enter your password and click 'Log in'.

Admin users will be required to set up 2 Factor Authentication, 2FA for security.

6. Within your mobile phone app store, download an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator.

Google Authenticator and Microsoft Authenticator apps are free and are the recommended apps to use.

7. Follow the steps on your device to set up the authenticator app.

8. Scan the QR code on the 2FA page with your authenticator app to add Origins.

Note: If on a mobile device, and are unable to scan the QR code, click 'Can't scan the QR Code?' underneath the QR code, it will generate a code and the account name to enter into the authenticator app manually.

9. Click 'Continue' on the 2FA page.

10. The authenticator app will generate a 6 digit code that refreshes every 30 seconds.

This code is essential for authentication every time you login as admin user.

11. Enter the 6 digit code generated by your authentication app

If your device is your own and secure from anyone else using it, you can check the 'Remember my device' checkbox, which will mean the MFA will only be required once every two weeks when signing in from same device (browser). The checkbox text is highlighted in green in the image below.

12. Click 'Verify'.

11. Upon successful verification, you will be redirected into Origins.

Before using the platform, you will need to read and accept terms of use and privacy policy.

Tip: Save the KPMG Origins link as a bookmark in your browser 'Favourites' for ease of future log in.
