How to create a Movement Authorisation with multiple waste types?

Updated over a week ago

This help article provides step-by-step instructions for creating a Movement Authorisation for a Multiple Waste Pick Up.

1 - To create a new Multiple Waste Movement Authorisation select the ‘Movement Authorisations’ button from the home screen. This will bring you to your list of current Movement Authorisations.

2 - Click on ‘Create Movement Authorisation.’

3 - Select the Multiple Waste Pick Up type (3rd option), Pick Up state, and Drop Off state from the drop-down menus.

4 - Search for the specific Pick Up and Drop Off address you want to enter. If the address does not appear in the search bar, you may have to add a new residential or organisation location.

5 - The Material ID field will now appear. Click the search bar to bring up a list of trackable wastes and select which one you would like to use. You can also start typing the waste type or NEPM code to find it quickly.

Add Material ID to select another waste type.

6 - After adding an additional waste type, if you want to hide the generator details from the Receiver, select Yes in the Commercial in Confidence section; otherwise, leave it as No. Next, click continue.

7 - Select the ‘Add Details button located next to the first and second steps in the Movement Authorisation Process widget.

8 - Complete the "Waste Details" section, which appears first, to proceed to the "Participant Details." Specify the physical state of the material, enter the total weight of the waste, and select the appropriate unit for accurate reporting.

9 - Enter all required information under "Participant Details." Determine whether the Consignor is an external Organisation or not. If it is, type in the name of the Organisation; if not, select "My Organisation." Finally, complete any optional fields as needed.

If the participant details for each material type are consistent, you can copy the data to all sections.

10 - Enter the effective start date and the expiration date of the Movement Authorisation. If you are unsure when the project's expiration date is, one year from the state date is normally acceptable. If the date details for each material type are consistent, you can copy the data to all sections.

11 - Enter the Participant details for the Generator and Receiver. Fill in the respective participant's contact name, email, and phone number. If the participant details for each material type are consistent, you can copy the data to all sections.

12 - If you are a Certified Receiver of Hazardous Waste, you can proceed to Approve the Movement Authorisation. Once these steps are completed, the Movement Authorisation will be submitted. If you are not the certified receiver, you must wait for the certified receiver to complete the final step.

13 - Once the Movement Authorisation has been reviewed and approved, the status will update to 'Approved' and you will be able to create Movements from that Movement Authorisation from this using the blue "View & Create Movements" button.
